Bromine take 15 minutes to diffuse in air completely but bromine diffuse into a vacuum very rapidly. Why is it so?

Here is your answer

When bromine diffuses in air, the bromine particles bump into the already present air particles due to which diffusion is slow .But in vacuum there are no air molecules thus the space is very vast . That is why Bromine take 15 minutes to diffuse in air completely but bromine diffuse into a vacuum very rapidly.
