Step-by-step explanation:

This equation, as requested, only shows the cost of

rental on a daily basis.  In order to solve for more than 1

day the equation should be:  Cost = .3x + 100d or something

similar... with x representing miles driven, d representing

total number of days for the rental.

To graph this pick values for x and solve for f(x), plot the points

and connect to create the line.

x     f(x)

-----------

10    103

50    115

100   130

a.  Cost for driving 300 miles in a day

     f(300) = .3(300) + 100

     f(300) = 90 + 100

     f(300) = $190

c.  There is a problem with the question... The equation is set

for the cost of a single day (as requested in the problem)...

How many days was the car rented??  It is doubtful

it was driven 6000 miles in one day.

   1800 = .3x + 100d
