Alun is correct as Bryn is using a ratio of 200:1

Here it is given that Bryn is drawing a 5 cm long line for every 10 m of the building.

To find the scale we will need to find the ratio of actual length to the length drawn on paper.

For 10 m of building = 100 x 10 cm of the building Bryn is drawing a line of 5 cm

therefore for 1 cm drawn in the paper, the actual length of the building will be

5 cm = 1000cm

1 cm = 1000 / 5 = 200 cm

therefore the scale will be 200:1 Hence, Alun is correct.
