Bryophyllum and dioscorea are example for which bud
Answers
In Bryophyllum, marginal buds form plantlets while they remains attached in the plants. Another example of vegetative propagation by leaves in Adiantum caudatum (walking fern). Bulbils: These are fleshy buds produced in the axil of foliage leaves in place of axillary buds.
Bryophyllum and dioscora are the examples of foliar bud and cauline bud.
Concept
A collection of plant species belonging to the family Crassulaceae that are indigenous to Madagascar are known as bryophyllum (from the Greek v/v/ bryon/bryein = sprout, phyllon = leaf). It was previously classified at the genus level and is a division or subgenus of the genus Kalanchoe. On the edges of the leaves in this region, there are small vegetatively growing plantlets that eventually fall off and root. These plantlets develop from the mitosis of tissue with meristematic characteristics found in leaf notches.
In the family Dioscoreaceae, the genus Dioscorea contains around 600 species of flowering plants that are native to tropical and mild temperate climates all over the world. Only a small number of the species can be found in temperate areas, with the majority of them being tropical. The monk Charles Plumier gave it that name in honour of the famous Greek botanist and physician Dioscorides.
So Bryophyllum and dioscora are the examples of foliar bud and cauline bud.
