Buildings collapsed at the foothills of Himalayas because of earthquake. but before collapsing they were moving backward and forward because in hilly areas there is always rearrengment of earth plates under hills.If there major change occurs it leads to an earthquake, in which forward and backward movement in buildings is seen.
