building collides due to earthquakes because the some buildings are not strong enough to survive an earthquake

Building collapse due to earthquake because during earthquake vibrations travel outwards from the epicenter as waves and then propagate through the surface of the Earth which produce sudden movement that leads to collapse of buildings.
