when bulb are connected in series then if one appliance stop working than every one stop.
in parallel, if one appliance stop working than there will be no effect on other appliances.

- In series connection,the flow of current is in single path
Defects :-
- If One bulb goes off all bulbs go off and the flow of current will stop there.
- In parallel connection,the current flow is different all +VE terminal are connected by a single conductor.All -VE terminals are connected by another single conductor
- In this adding or removing lamp makes no change
