Mass of the bullet = 80 kilogram

Initil Velocity = 600 m/sec

It is brought to Rest.This means that the final velocity of the bullet will be 0 m/sec.

Final Velocity = 0 m/sec

Time taken to stop = 0.13 second

We know from Newton's Second law of Motion:-

FORCE = MASS * ACCELERATION

\rule{200}{2}

Acceleration = chnage in velocity/time taken

HENCE,

Acceleration will be equal to :-

a=\dfrac{0-600}{0.13}\\ \\ \\ \\a=(-4615.4)m/sec^{2}

\rule{200}{2}

Force = -4615.4 * 80

Force = -369232 Newton

\rule{200}{2}

Impulse = change in momentum

Impuse = m(v-u)= 80(-600) = -48000 kg m/sec

\rule{200}{2}

Also,

Impulse = force * Time

impulse = 0.13 * (-369232) N/sec

impulse =  -48000 N/sec
