A building caught fire due to a short circuit in the fuse box and except two children all the people came out safe and sound. The children were caught in the burning building at a higher window due to which they couldn't escape the place.
The fire was spreading upwards at a very high rate and clouds of smoke were emerging from the windows of the building. People started to gather outside the building and each and every face was looking up at the building where the children were trapped. Seeing the flames shoot up people were sighing, gasping and yelling. Due to the smoke, the children were not visible at all and everyone was very worried whether the children will be found there or not after the smoke clears.
The fire brigade arrived at the rescue after a short time only. The firemen immediately started analysing the condition and sorting how to reach to the children and save them. They didn't waste much time thinking and opened their rescue ladder and brought the car as close as possible to the building.
The fireman on the top of the ladder reached the window where the children were trapped and after looking inside he spotted the children in the far corner. The children came towards the fireman after they saw him but we're sobbing uncontrollably.
A major concern for the fireman was to get the children out of there because they had been there long enough to lose consciousness due to the harmful gases. After debating for a few moments the fireman asked the driver to tilt the ladder a bit more and bring the van closer to the building.
After a few more minutes the rescue operation was successful and both the children were out of the building safe and sound.
Answer:
The children of classes V to VIII were studying in the Sterling Tutorial Center in the evening when the fire broke in the center. All the children and teachers started running in panic. The teachers helped the children escape the building through the emergency exit on the 2nd floor one by one. Slowly smoke started filling up the classrooms and the teachers and students became invisible to one another. Everyone started panicking for their lives and started running. Unfortunately two children were still trapped in the washroom where they had gone few seconds prior to the fire outbreak and after they came out, could not see anything other than smoke. People on the roads could see them from the windows outside but could not help. The fire brigade arrived by then and started pouring water to the building. Both the children fainted due to shock and carbon monoxide poisoning. But, by the grace of God, they were rescued by the members of the fire brigade and admitted to the hospital. They became well after some time.
