burning fossil fuels release gases like CO, SO2, and CO2 in the atmosphere,
these gases are green house gases.
these gases trap the heat of the sun in the atmosphere and cause the global temperature to rise.
this is how it leads to global warming

FOSSIL FUELS ARE ORGANIC SUBSTANCES WHICH ARE CONVERTED IN TO FUEL DUE TO HIGH PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE.THE CONTAIN HIGH AMOUNTS OF CARBON AND SOMETIMES SULPHIDE WHICH ON BURNING RELEASE GREEN HOUSE GASES CO2,SO2, WHICH TRAP THE SOLAR RADIATIONS FROM THE SUN AND INCREASE THE TEMPERATURE OF THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH
