Burning fuels releases carbon dioxide, a green house gas which causes climate changes and global warming.

Coal fired power plants emits mercury, selenium, arsenic, lead in addition to green house gases which is harmful to human health and environment.

Due to global warming  earth becomes get heated and no proper rainfall in monsoons may cause natural disasters like floods, tsunamis, earthquake, volcano eruption, etc.
