Burning a candle is both physical and a chemical change because when we burn a candle ,due to the heat it starts melting .So, the candle changes its physical feature. But we can revert it back by melting it. On the other hand it is also a chemical change because when we burn a candle a chemical reaction known as combustion occurs. During this combustion wax reacts with oxygen to form a colourless gas known as carbon dioxide. This reaction cannot be reverted back.
