The physical changes in the candle is that the wax melts, then freezes back into solid state again, and the chemical changes are that the wick burns, soot and smoke.

Burning of candle is considered to be a physical as well as chemical change because burning of candle turn wax into gases which cannnot be reversed as well as burning of candle melts wax which can be regain by cooling it and reforming its shape
