Explanation -

Fossil Fuels are mainly hydrocarbons so, they contain large amount of carbon! Example - coal, petroleum, natural gas etc...
These fuels on combustion release unburnt carbon particles in the atmosphere. This leads to the formation of carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas.This is one of the causes for global warming too! Eventually, the carbon cycle is disturbed...
