Explanation:

Burning of fossil fuels is harmful for the environment, they cause pollution in the environment. Fossil fuels are the conventional energy resources when they are burnt, many harmful gases are emitted during combustion, like carbon mono oxide, carbon dioxide,sulphur dioxide etc. which are harmful to the environment. They affect the environment badly. Burning of fossil fuel also leaves waste product behind it, which also causes water pollution as well as air pollution.
