Burning fossil fuel i.e coal and petroleum is a cause of global warming because it produces carbon dioxide and methane.These gases give the green house effect.This increase the Earth's average temperature and results in the phenomenon called as global warming.
it releases carbon dioxide and other harmful gases on burning which can lead to global warming

1) Burning of fossil fuel releses harmful gases like :-CO2 ,SO2 ,NO2 etc.
when They react with water they form acids ,
Example:- Sulphur dioxide + Water -----> Sulphuric acid .
2) When CO2 is released during burning of fossil fuels . It is greenhouse gas and caused global warming.
