Pollution is probably the main disadvantage of fossil fuels. Burning fossil fuels can cause greenhouse effect, which is harmful to the environment. Continuously burning fossil fuels largely contribute to global warming that earth experiences today.

The effect of burning fuels on the environment is as follows :

When we burnt fuels , the gases like - carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide are released.

Because of carbon dioxide , the global warming will increase.

While because of carbon monoxide one can be a sick of asthma.

It pollutes the environment.

It may cause acid rain.
