If we burn paper Ash is formed.... We don't get the paper back.. So it's a chemical change

Burning of paper is a chemical change because

See when paper burns it gives CO2 a little bit ash and this reaction is inreversible in nature
and

the weight of original paper is very different from the things which we get after burning paper like as ash, co2,etc.

And the property of burn paper is very different from that paper.
