Given:

As the bus starts from rest it's initial velocity is 0

u=0

Acceleration (a)=0.8m/s2

Final velocity (v)=12m/s

To find :

Distance travelled(s)=??

Solution:

V²=u²+2as

(U²=0)

V²=2as

s= V²/2a

s=144/2(0.8)

s=144/1.6

s =90m

I hope it helps (θ‿θ)

Answer:

The distance travelled by bus is 90m.

Explanation:

We will use the third equation of motion to solve this question. It is given as,

v^2-u^2=2as         (1)

Where,

v=final velocity of the bus

u=initial velocity of the bus

a=acceleration of the bus

s=distance traveled by bus

From the question we have,

u=0        (as the bus starts from rest)

v=12m/s

a=0.8m/s²

By substituting the required values in equation (1) we get;

(12)^2-(0)^2=2\times 0.8\times s

144=1.6\times s

s=\frac{144}{1.6}=90m

Hence, the distance travelled by bus is 90m.
