Answer:

SPEED OF BUS Y IS GREATER THEN THE SPEED OF BUS X .

GIVEN:

BUS X

DISTANCE = 360 KM

TIME TAKEN = 6 HOURS

BUS Y

DISTANCE = 427 KM

TIME TAKEN = 7 HOURS

TO FIND:

WHICH BUS IS FASTER?

SOLUTION:

for \: bus \: x \\  \\ distance =  \: 360 \: km \\  \\ time \: taken \:  =  \: 6 \: hours \\  \\ speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\  \\ speed =  \frac{360}{6}  \\  \\ speed = 60 \: km \: per \: hour \\  \\ or \: \: speed \:  \:  60kmh {}^{ - 1}  \\  \\  \\ for \: bus \: y\\  \\ distance =  \: 427 \: km \\  \\ time \: taken \:  =  \: 7 \: hours \\  \\ speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\  \\ speed =  \frac{427}{7}  \\  \\ speed = 61 \: km \: per \: hour \\  \\ or \: \: speed \:  \:  61kmh {}^{ - 1}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\ speed \: of \: bus \: y \: is \: greater \: than \: the \: speed  \\ \: of \: bus \: x. \\  \\  \\ ................................. \\  \\ some \: important \: formulas  \\  \\ distance = speed \times time \\  \\ average \: speed =  \:  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}  \\  \\ average \: velocity =  \frac{total \: displacement}{total \: time}
