bus X travels a distance of 360 km in 5 hours whereas bus y travels a distance of 476 kilometre in 7 hours which bus travels faster​

Given:-

  • Distance covered by bus X ,d =360km

  • Time taken by bus X ,t = 5 hours

  • Distance covered by bus Y ,d' = 476km

  • Time taken by bus Y ,t' = 7 hours

To Find:-

  • Which bus is traveling fast

Solution:-

As we know that Speed is defined as the distance per unit time

• Speed = Distance/time

Speed of Bus X

→ S = d/t

Substitute the value we get

→ S = 360/5

→ S = 72km/h

Therefore, the speed of Bus X is 72km/h......(i)

Now calculating the speed of Bus Y

S' = d'/t'

Substitute the value we get

→ S' = 476/7

→ S' = 68km/h

Therefore, the speed of Bus Y is 68km/h....(ii)

From equation (i) & (ii) we get

The speed of Bus X is Greater than bus Y.

Answer:

Initial velocity ,u = 10m/s

Acceleration ,a = 8m/s²

Final velocity ,v = 40m/s

So By using 3rd equation of motion

• v² = u² +2as

Substitute the value we get

→ 40² = 10² +2×8×s

→ 1600 = 100 + 16×s

→ 1600-100 = 16×s

→ 1500 = 16×s

→ s = 1500/16

→ s = 93.75m

The length of Runway 93.80m
