a catalyst just speeds up a chemical reaction and u are absolutely right but there is nothing wrong with the question either. It just means...which catalyst's presence is needed for the conversion of glucose into alcohol. This is because some chemical reactions NEED to have a catalyst to take place and this is one of them.
