Answer:

This quote was taken from the poem " The Narrow Way " written by poet " Anne Bronte ". this line here is said by the poet while describing about how to have motivation in case of love for a woman.

Here by the thorns he meant the 'Difficulties, Hurdles and Problems' faced by anybody while they want to get the woman or girl they want. By the Rose he meant the 'Girl or Woman' herself. he metaphorically says that in order to achieve the beautiful rose , we must have the courage to get hurt by the thorns.

He tries to say that although our path to get the girl we want might be so hard with all the difficulties, we should not stop trying in order to achieve the eternal glory of getting the girl. One should try his best and not quit in his path of doing so.

The poet has a wonderful way of motivating guys with inferiority feeling to get the girl they want. he just tells them in a wise way that nothing comes easy.

“But he who dares not grasp the thorn should never crave the rose.”

This phrase was penned by Anne Bronte.

Here, Rose is something that has got high value. And the thorns are the difficulties and pains to reach that position to achieve something great.

As we are very much aware of the phrase “No gain without pain”, here it means that something as precious as the rose will also have thorns on the stem. That is, to gain something great, it is as very much possible that we come across many difficulties and we need to face them to achieve great things.
