Answer.

  • Yes, I agree with the statement that the cherry tree had no intention of dying.

  • Firstly when the cherry was two feets high, a goat ate all its leaves, only the main stem and two thin branches left.

  • Secondly towards the end of the rainy season, new leaves appeared on the tree. A woman while cutting grass, cut the tree in two.

  • However by the time of summer, the tree grew to be strong again. It had new shoots with tender green leaves.
