After sometime, this Larva or caterpillar produces a thread like structure and builds a cover around it this structure is known as pupa and the Caterpillar remains in this stage for more than 2 to 3 months and it doesn't eat or drink during this time.
After this duration of time, the pups is changed into an adult butterfly which breaks the cover and come out ready to fly.........
