Solution : Now, according to given, Mr. X buy 16 chairs at rupees 250 per chairs.

Hence,

⟹ cost price of 16 chairs = Rs {16 * 250}

⟹ cost price of 16 chairs = Rs 4000

Mr. X sell 12 chair at Rs 275 per chair and according to given remaining 4 chair at Rs 200 per chair

Now,

⟹ selling price of 12 chair = Rs {12 * 275}

⟹ selling price of 12 chair = Rs 3300

similarly,

⟹ selling price of 4 chair = Rs {4 * 200}

⟹ selling price of 4 chair = Rs 800

Now,

⟹ selling price of 16 chair = Rs {3300 + 800}

⟹ selling price of 16 chair = Rs 4100

Here, we know that selling price greater than cost price hence it's profit.

⟹ profit = selling price - cost price

⟹ profit = Rs {4100 - 4000}

⟹ profit = Rs 100

Now,

⟹ profit % = {profit/cost price} * 100

⟹ profit % = {100/4000} * 100

⟹ profit % = 1/40 * 100

⟹ profit % = 1/4 * 10

⟹ profit % = 10/4

⟹ profit % = 5/2

⟹ profit % = 2.5 %
