By adding common salt to distilled water makes it electrical conductor.
• The distilled water which has zero amount of impurities,is unable to conduct slightest amount of electricity.
• But,when we add common salt or sodium chloride in that distilled water,it becomes able to conduct electricity.
• Because, the sodium chloride or NaCl breaks into Na+ and Cl- ions which conduct the electricity through the water and increases the conductivity of the water.
