Let salim's father's age be a
∴ $\frac{1}{3}$(a-5)+$\frac{1}{2}$xa=20
∴ $\frac{a}{3}$-$\frac{5}{3}$+$\frac{a}{2}$=20
∴ $\frac{a-5}{3}$+$\frac{a}{2}$=20
∴ $\frac{2a-10+3a}{6}$=20
∴ 2a-10+3a=20x6
∴ 2a+3a=120+10
∴ 5a=130
∴ α=$\frac{130}{5}$
∴ α=26
∴ Salim's father's age is 26 years.
