consider a lightened incense stick and take it to a corner of the room. Now wait for some time and ask your friend to stand in other corner of the room and ask her to smell. You will find that she could smell the incense stick in the other corner.
so by this activity we can conclude that the particles of the matter are moving.
and next you could take boiling water as an example the water becomes vapour by the process of evaporation and mixes in the air. thus the particles of water are moving constantly from the layers of the water into the air.
