From (1)

3x + y = 12

=>> y = 12-3x

x-3y +6 =0

=>> x -3(12-3x) + 6 =0

=>> x-36 +9x + 6 = 0

=>> 10x -30 =0

=>> 10x =30

x= 3

x-3y +6 =0

3-3y+6 = 0

9 -3y =0

-3y = -9

y = 3
