By Describing the movements of the snake, the poet suggests that it is afraid of the pursuing stick. Indirectly he wants to suggest that we should not be cruel to snakes. Do you agree with this?

The poet was both sacred and fascinated with the snake.

Explanation:

  • He wanted to kill the snake to prove his bravery but at the same time he was mesmerized by the fast movements of it.
  • He wanted to host the snake and treat him like a guest.
  • He hints on not being cruel to the snake as it is a beautiful animal.
