6x-y = 29/3
Multiply both sides by 3
=> 18x -3y = 29
Also, 4x-3y=8
Add both equation
=> 22x = 37
=> x= 37/22
Put in any equation for y

Step-by-step explanation:

4x-3y=8. .....(1)

6x-y= 29/3. .....(2)

on equating the coefficients of y:

-4x+3y = -8. .....(3)

-18x+3y = -29. .....(4)

on subtracting eq (3) from eq(4):

-14x = -21

x = 21/14

x = 3/2

Put value of x in eq (3):

-4 x 3/2 + 3y = -8

-2 x 3 +3y = -8

-6 + 3y = -8

3y = -8+6

3y = -2

y = -2/3. Ans

Hope it helps !!
