By elimination method

2x-5y=4... (1)

3x-2y=-16... (2)

Multiply eqn(1)×3

3(2x-5y=4)

6x-15y=12...(3)

Multiply eqn(2)×2

2(3x-2y=-16)

6x-4y=-32... (4)

eqn(3)&(4)

6x-15y=12

6x-4y=-32

(-). (+) (+)

_______

- 11y=44

y=44/-11

y=4

Substitute y=4 in eqn(1)

2x-5y=4

2x-5(4)=4

2x-20=4

2x=4+20

2x=24

x=24/2

x=12

By elimination method:x=12, y=4

I hope it's help you

Answer:

take

2x-5y=4-----------(1)

3x-2y= -16--------(2)

(1)×2-(2)×5

4x-10y= 8

15x-10y=-80

-. +. +

----------------------------

-11x=88

11x=-88

x=-88/11

x=-8

substitute x=-8in(1)

2x-5y=4

2(-8)-5y=4

-16-5y=4

-5y=4+16

-5y=20

5y=-20

y=-20/5

y=-4

therefore,

x=-8and y=-4
