Answer:

x=94/19

Explanation:

3x-5y=3......equation 1 ×3

2x+3y=17.....equation 2 ×5

multiplying equation 1st by 3 & 2nd by 5

9x-15y=9......equation 3rd

10x+15y=85...equation 4th

add equation 3&4

9x-15y=9.....3rd

10x+15y=85..4th add

19x+oy=94

x=94/19

To Find The value of x & y by Elimination Method :-

  • 3x - 5y = 3

  • 3x - 5y = 32x + 3y = 17

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\green{Answer:-}}}}

✒ x = 76 & y = 45

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\orange{Solution:-}}}}

3x - 5y = 3........(1)

2x + 3y = 17.........(2)

Multiply eqn.1 by 2 & eqn.2 by 3

3x - 5y = 3........(1) × 2

2x + 3y = 17.........(2) × 3

We get ,

6x - 10 y = 6 ..............(3)

6x - 9 y = 51..............(4)

-__+___-_________

- y = - 45

________________

y = 45

putting the value in 1 equation .,

3x - 5y = 3

=> 3x - 5×45 = 3

=> 3x - 225 = 3

=> 3x = 3 + 225

=> 3x = 228

=> x =  \cancel{\dfrac{228}{3}}

=> x = 76

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\pink{Verification:-}}}}

put value of x & y in eqn 1

3x - 5y = 3........(1)

➝ 3× 76 - 5× 45 = 3

➝ 228 - 225 = 3

3 = 3
