Step-by-step explanation:

3x - 4 y = 7 (I)

5x + 2y = 3 .(II)

Multiply (II) with 2

10x + 4y = 6 (III)

Adding (I) and (Ill)

13x = 13

⇒ x = 1

Putting the value of x in (I) we get

3 x 1 - 4y = 7

⇒ 3 - 4y = 7

⇒ y = -1

Thus, X=1 and y = -1
