The Euler's Formula states that :

V - E + F = 2

When the Edges are subtracted from Vertices and added to Faces the outcome must be equal to 2 .

Euler's Formula can be Used for :

  • Finding Unknown value
  • Verification or proving the Euler's Formula.

Here we have been asked to Find the unknown value . For that we need to simply put up the formula ; substitute the values and simplify !

Solution :

➜ V - E + F = 2

➜ V - 14 + 4 = 2 (- , + = - )

➜ V - 10 = 2

➜ V = 2 + 10 (10 transposing changes sign)

➜ V = 12

Verification :

➜ V - E + F = 2

➜ 12 - 14 + 4 = 2

➜ -2 + 4 = 2

➜ 2 = 2

LHS = RHS

Hence verified

ANSWER:-

=> V - E + F = 2

=> V - 14 + 4 = 2

=> V - 10 = 2

=> V = 2 + 10

=> V = 12

VERIFICATION SECTION:-

  • 12 - 14 + 4 = 2
  • 12 - 10 = 2
  • 2 = 2

EULER'S FORMULA:-

  1. Euler's formula is a mathematical formula that establishes the fundamental relationship between the trigonometric functions and the complex exponential function.
  2. Formula used for this:- V - E + F = 2
