Given to factorise:-

 {x}^{3} - {x}^{2} - xy + x + y -1

Solution:-

 {x}^{3} - {x}^{2} - xy + x + y - 1

 = {x}^{2} (x - 1) - x(y - 1) + 1(y - 1)

 = {x}^{2} (x - 1) - (1 - x)(y - 1)

 = {x}^{2} (x - 1) + (x - 1)(y - 1)

 = (x - 1)( {x}^{2} + y - 1)

Answer:-

(x - 1)( {x}^{2} + y - 1)
