By his actions and words, Uncle Podger reveals much about himself. Can you make a
short assessment of his character?
Answers
Answer:
Uncle Podger is a clumsy old man who gives a humorous touch to the entire incident of hanging a picture on the wall. He is one of those who cannot do anything properly himself. At the same time, he’s overconfident and considers himself to be the best person to hang the picture. But, it is ironical that he’s extremely disorganised and cannot do anything smoothly. He blames and shouts at others for his own follies and his only contribution towards hanging a picture was complaining, dumping and causing a hindrance to all the people who were helping him to complete the task. He involved the whole house for a simple task for which it took a long time working at his own pace, but never admitting his own lack of skill. He created a lot of confusion in the house whether it was looking for his lost handkerchief
