sum of 5x2+4xy+(-3x2+2xy)

5x2+4xy-3x2+2xy

2x2+6xy

4x2-7xy-(2x2+6xy)

2x2-13xy

Here is my answer..

Firstly, let us calculate the sum of 5x²+4xy and -3x²+2xy

= 5x²+4xy + -3x² +2xy

= 2x² + 6xy

Asked,

By how much 4x²- 7xy exceeds the sum of 5x² + 4xy and -3x² + 2xy

Means,

(4x²-7xy) - [(5x² + 4xy) + (-3x² +2xy)]-----(1)

Therefore,

We need to calculate the value of above expression..

Since we calculated the value of 5x² + 4xy + (-3x² + 2xy) which is 2x² +6xy.

So, putting the value of sum in equation (1)

= (4x² -7xy) -(2x² +6xy )

= 4x² - 7xy -2x² - 6xy

= 2x² - 13xy

Thank you so much for following me..
