Just take a eg.
How much 5 exceed 3 ,...it's 2 it means
5-3=2X exceed y by (X-y).So, by columns method ,
we can take 1=0×x+0×y+1So, it will exceed by (0×x+0×y+1)-(2x-3y-4=0-2x+0-(-3y)+1-(-4)=3y-2x+5
=5-2x+3y
