Given:

Mass of 1 kg.

To find:

Magnitude of gravitational force?

Calculation:

Gravitational force on body of 1 kg will be :

 \rm F =  \dfrac{GMm}{ {d}^{2} }

  • M is mass of earth , m is mass of object and d is radius of earth.

 \rm \implies F =m \times   \dfrac{GM}{ {d}^{2} }

  • GM/d² is written as 'g' or gravity and equal to 9.8 m/s².

 \rm \implies F =m \times  g

 \rm \implies F =1 \times 9.8

 \rm \implies F =9.8 \: N

So, gravitational force on mass is 9.8 N.
