✨It is not possible to distinguish externally between C3 and C4 plants but generally tropical plants are adapted for C4 cycle.

To tell whether a plant is C3...the bundle sheaths dont contain chloroplast unlike in C4 which have chloroplast. - my answer

You cannot really tell if a plant is C3 or C4 by observing its leaves and other morphological features externally. Unlike C3 plants, the leaves of C4 plants have a special anatomy called Kranz anatomy and this difference can only be observed (looked at) at the cellular level. For example, although wheat and maize are grasses, wheat is a C3 plant, while maize is a C4 plant. - i got this from a website to back up my answer but home it helps   : )
