This question is from "The Lake Isle of innisfree"

By :- William Butler Yeats

---------------------------------------------

Answer :

The poet contrast innisfree with the urban areas. He depicts innisfree as a simple, natural place full of beauty and peace by saying it has purple noons, glimmering mid nights, evening full of linnet wings. On the other hand he depicts urban areas as noisy, polluted and human created environment by saying that it has roadways, grey pavements, and pace colours of home.

ANSWER -

Poem - The lake of inisfree

Poet - William butler yeats

The natural beauty of Innisfree is explained in contrast with dull city life and grey pavements. The colour grey sybolizes death and decay.

He contrasted morning, noon, evening, night, and natural beauty of Innisfree with sky touching buildings of city which do not provide peace of mind at all.
