An acidic gas is defined as the gas which accepts an electron like Lewis acids. ... For example, HCl is an acidic gas and when it reacts with a basic gas like ammonia then the reaction equation will be as follows. So, the resulting gas formed is ammonium chloride which is a neutral gas.
