BY SELLING 100 MANGOES A FRUITSELLER GAINS THE SP OF 20 MANGOES. FIND HIS GAIN PERCENTAGE?

Let us consider :

selling price(sp) of one mango be y rs

then, sp of 100 mangoes = 100y rs

gain(sp) = 20y rs

cost price(cp) = sp - gain

                          = 100y rs - 20y rs

                              = 80 y rs 

gain% = (gain * 100 / cp )%

               = (20y* 100 / 80y)%

                  = (1*100 / 4)%

                      = (100 / 4)%

               = 25%
