by selling 144 chairs, a shopkeeper incurred a loss equal to the selling price of 6 chairs. Find the loss percentage.

I know the answer will be 4%, but i need the explanation

Let sp of 1 chair is x

And cp of 1 chair is y

so, 144y-144x =6x

Loss = (S.P of 6 chairs) = ₹6

C.P of 144 chairs = (144 + 6 ) = ₹150

loss\% =  \frac{loss}{cp}  \times 100

 \frac{6}{150}  \times 100

 \frac{6}{3}  \times 2
