Answer:

Explanation:

Selling price of 20 pairs of shoes = Rs. 18000

Selling price of 1 pair of shoe = 18000/20 = Rs. 900

Loss % = 20

Therefore,

The cost price of 1 pair of shoe = (100/100 - 20)*900

⇒ = (100/80)*900

⇒ = 4500/4

= Rs. 1125

If gain is 20 %, then the selling price of 1 pair of shoe = 1125 + (1125*20)/100

= 1125 + 225

Selling price of 1 pair of shoe = Rs. 1350

If gain percentage is 20 %, then the selling price = Rs. 1350

Therefore, the number of pair of shoes = 16200/1350

= 12 pair of shoes.

The required number of pair of shoes to be sold are 12
