by selling 36 articles a man loses the selling price of 4 articles. find the loss percent​

Answer:

let SP of 1 article= x rs

SP of 36 article=36x rs

loss = SP of 4 article=4x rs.

we know, loss= CP-SP

let CP of 1 article= y rs

CP of 36 article=36y rs

loss= 36y-36x

loss= 4x ,

compare above two equation ,

4x = 36y-36x

40x= 36y

y= 40x/36 = 10x/9

loss percentage= loss×100/CP

= 4x×100/y ,put above value of y

% 4x×100/(10x/9)=4×100×9/10=360 %
