By selling 40 pens, a shopkeeper suffers a loss equal to the SP of 5 pens. find his loss percent.
I want explaination please explain step by step
The answer should 91/9%.​

SP of 1 pen =x, then

SP of 40 pens = 40x

Given,

loss SP of 5 pens

loss = 5x

we know that,

loss = CP - SP

CP = loss +SP

CP = 5x + 40x

therefore, CP = 45x

loss % =loss/CPx100

=5x/45x into 100

=100/9%
