let cost price of 45 lemon was 100%
loss 20% means he sold on 80%.
means 80% = 40Rs then 100% = (40/80)×100=50Rs
so cost price was 50Rs
now, to get 20% profit he should sell at 120%
if 100% = 50 then 120% = (50/100)×120= 60Rs
means if he sells at 60Rs he will get profit of 20%
i.e 60Rs = 45 lemon then 24Rs = (45/60)×24
9×2 = 18 lemon
he should sell 18 lemon in 24Rs.
